[03:36] < Lawouach> morning |
[03:36] < Lawouach> I find it so stupid the move of the concurrency list to python.org |
[03:37] < Lawouach> google groups are so much more friendlier to use |

[07:13] < MS-> Yes, I find the move of the concurrency list to python.org extremely stupid/annoying |

[09:26] < MS-> afternoon |
[09:34] < MS-> Intreresting - a couple of audio components I have in /Sketches which use pyalsaaudio, seem to "just work" with the current version of pyalso. |
[09:35] < MS-> ie |
[09:35] < MS-> ~/code.google/kamaelia/trunk/Sketches/MPS/Bindings/Alsa> ./Record.py |
[09:35] < MS-> does record |
[09:35] < MS-> and |
[09:35] < MS-> ~/code.google/kamaelia/trunk/Sketches/MPS/Bindings/Alsa> ./Play.py |
[09:35] < MS-> does play back |
[09:35] < MS-> without any faff at all |
[09:35] < MS-> That's really handy |
[09:36] < MS-> Hm. Same goes if I modify the recording rate & number of channels |
[09:37] < MS-> Wonder if I can use that & the webcam code to create a simple video recording app |
[09:38] < MS-> Would make a really handy low budget recording tool. |
[09:46] < Lawouach_> very low budget :) |
[09:47] < MS-> Europython has an issue about recording videos of talks. If I can do this, that would probably not be a problem :) |
[09:47] < MS-> At least for recording of the *audio* of talks it works perfectly fine |
[09:48] < Lawouach_> :) |
[11:56] < Lawouach_> http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/8083479.stm :( |
[11:58] < MS-> Oh that's sad :-( |
[12:03] < Lawouach_> yeah :( |

[14:19] < MS-> fell off irc. (pressed the button which switches off wireless & didn't notice) |
[14:23] < MS-> Have found a new way of writing docs for work which seems to work. Write headings. Then walk through doc *speaking* what the contents between those headings should be, recording it as a stream of conciousness. Then use those to type up. |
[14:23] < MS-> Worked remarkably well just now for something. |

[15:05] < MS-> Hi |
[15:06] < vmlemon_> Any thoughts on FriendFeed, out of interest, after trying it? |
[15:10] < MS-> It seems OK. I'm mainly checking twitter though still, primarily because there's more people there at the moment |
[15:10] < vmlemon_> Makes sense |

[16:30] < MS-> If anyone has an opinion on whether I should add this: http://pastebin.com/fc0b32a3 into axon, I'd be curious. It's a simple options parser. |
[16:30] < MS-> Written because I wanted something to parse options quickly and it was quicker to write that than faff about with optparse etc |
