[11:13] < vmlemon_> Hi
[13:01] *** MS- has joined #kamaelia
[13:01] < MS-> greetings
[13:04] < Lawouach> heya
[13:22] < MS-> No objection @ work regarding giving K tutorial at europython. Now just waiting to hear if there's an issue about the rest of the week or not. (hopefully not, I've suggested classing it as training.)
[13:23] < MS-> Only cost really as far as work is concerned is time. (which of course isn't free)
[13:23] < MS-> but it's been useful most years :)
[13:41] < Lawouach> when is it again?
[13:42] < MS-> Europython?
[13:42] < MS-> End of June, beginning of July
[13:42] < MS-> tutorials on
[13:42] < MS-> 28th 29th - Mon-Tues
[13:42] < MS-> Main conference days:
[13:42] < MS-> 30th, 1st, 2nd
[13:43] < MS-> Sprints after wards.
[13:43] < MS-> I won't be able to go to sprints I suspect, so I've not even asked about those
[13:43] < MS-> http://www.europython.eu/talks/timetable/ - shows the talks
[13:44] < MS-> Monday has 6 concurrent tracks
[13:44] < Lawouach> right
[13:44] < Lawouach> ta
[13:44] < MS-> yw
[13:46] < MS-> Assuming Lulu.com plays nicely, I'm planning on giving attendees to the Kamaelia tutorial a printed book version of the docs.
[13:47] < MS-> (not a very big book :) )
[13:47] < MS-> been playing with lulu.com for a whole, and for black and white books it appears to be very cheap
[13:48] < vmlemon_> Cool
[13:49] < MS-> I also realised that a well made presentation designed for screen reading has a certain similarity to comic books.
[13:50] < vmlemon_> Hmm, thought of going into comic book production? ;)
[13:50] < vmlemon_> I don't know how many people would buy a Kamaelia comic, if it was sitting on the shelves of Spar or Tesco, though ;)
[13:51] < MS-> Heh, no. But I figure that if 48 pages was enough for Usborne books of yesteryear to get me started with programming, then you probably don't need something that large really for K
[13:51] < MS-> :)
[13:53] < vmlemon_> I would have thought that the Wolfram folks would have heard of compressing files (it's awe-inspiring technology ;)) before they offer them for download by now, given by the size of their trial stuff...
[13:55] < vmlemon_> After all, if they have the CPU cycles and RAM spare to run a half-baked search engine, putting them towards running bzip2 or gzip shouldn't be too taxing
[14:15] < vmlemon_> kamlogbot: ecky
[14:15] Reply: Ptang!
[14:24] < MS-> cya all for now
