[15:28] < MS-> regarding facebook I once did a complete system mindwipe of it one afternoon

[15:28] < MS-> ie manually deleted everything over the course of one afternoon, but not in reverse time order - just in the "most visible order"

[15:29] < MS-> and the result was complete panic by some people who viewed it as suicide. Personally I found it annoying and was just deleting stuff

[15:29] < MS-> As a result I reinstated much of it to make them happy

[15:29] < MS-> then six months later slowly deleted stuff in reverse order again :-)

[15:29] < MS-> but reverse order == less noticeable :)

[15:30] < Davbo> i made a facebook so that other comp sci students wouldn't look at me funny when i said i didn't have one

[15:30] < MS-> I keep the account since then I can say "no that's not me this is" and "oh, I don't use this"

[15:31] < MS-> Same goes for linkedin incidentally

[15:31] < MS-> I get random linked in requests and then approve them all once every six months or once a year and then ignore that as well

[15:32] < Davbo> I'd not looked at that until I saw Lawauch's linked from his blog

[15:35] < MS-> The idea of linked in is OK

[15:35] < MS-> But I'm not in a rush to get a new job at present

[15:36] < MS-> New year means new projects, meaning possibility to focus on something new and interesting. (actually from April, but I have a blank zone between now and then which I can fill in, and have filled in for most of Jan)
