[13:13] < j_baker> I see. It's the same here. But then it's expensive as hell until you turn 24.

[13:19] < j_baker> Sigh... so I got this new job working with databases. I like it thus far. But is it just me or is SQL a really horrible language?

[13:38] < j_baker> You know, I'd thought about making some components to deal with databases, but I just don't think that Kamaelia is a good fit for it.

[13:39] < j_baker> It could probably be done, but what would be the point? Databases by design handle concurrency well enough.

[13:39] < vmlemon_> Unless you just want a component to connect a Kamaelia system to a database, probably to use as a dumb data store

[13:41] < j_baker> But then again, Kamaelia Publish is very far from using a sophisticated database system.

[13:44] < vmlemon_> If someone wanted, they could always knock something up to interface with SQLite or MySQL (probably just wrapping around a library)...

[13:45] < vmlemon_> Although you don't always need a DB

[13:45] < j_baker> Yup. It is also possible to use SQLAlchemy to do such a thing and pass rows or tables around.
